PGC Basketball needs your talented mind!

As our Conference & Event Manager, you will be responsible to ensure PGC has the most ideal camp schedule to allow for the maximum number of players and coaches to attend.

You will also work closely with other PGC departments to create the most impactful camps possible. You and your team will be responsible for planning the details of all PGC camps, including housing, meals, classroom reservations, and other logistics as needed. You will lead, manage, and coach 2-4 direct reports and support 15-20 summer camp management staff.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Research, identify & schedule ideal locations to host PGC camps and clinics.
  • Negotiate camp event contracts.
  • Maintain positive relationships with all camp & clinic host contacts.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments to ensure PGC camps run smoothly.
  • Provide oversight, training, and support for all camp management staff at sessions.
  • Manage and resolve escalated issues that may occur during PGC camps.
  • Manage, lead, train and coach direct reports.
  • Participate in company-wide professional development programs, including attending staff-wide calls and events.

The Ideal Candidate Must…

  • Have experience managing departments and direct reports.
  • Have experience in the conference and event planning industry.
  • Experience working on or with college campuses is preferred.
  • Experience in the sports camp industry is preferred.
  • Be available to work primarily Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm CST and have availability on some nights & weekends during our peak camp season June-October.
  • Be able to work independently from a remote, home office in North America in a quiet workspace with minimal noise and distractions.
  • Have access to a personal computer and secure, reliable internet services.
