Margie Williamson, a former American Southwest Conference Coach of the year, serves as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for PGC. Prior to her taking on the COO role, she served in multiple leadership roles within the operations of the company, including successfully managing all facility scheduling, logistics, merchandise, and providing oversight to customer service, staffing, and human resources. As the COO, Margie provides leadership, coaching & direction to the day-to-day operations of PGC.

Before joining the PGC operations team in 2009, Margie worked for four years as Assistant Director of Athletics for Marketing and Operations at Texas Woman’s University (TWU) in Denton, Texas. Prior to that, she held the position of Assistant Basketball Coach and Event Administrator for gymnastics and softball at TWU.

A Deer Park, Texas native, Margie was a four-year captain and starter at point guard for University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (UMHB) in Belton, Texas. After her playing career was over, she coached at Killeen, Crawford and Richland High Schools and served as an assistant coach at Baylor University under Sonja Hogg for two years.

Margie then returned to the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, where she compiled a career record of 82-45 as the school’s head women’s team basketball coach in five seasons at the helm. She took the Lady Crusaders, a member of the NCAA Division III American Southwest Conference, to the league tournament twice and was the ASC Coach of the Year in 2000-01. Margie also had 12 players selected to the ASC All-Academic team before resigning in June 2005 to begin her doctoral studies.

Margie graduated from UMHB with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She earned her master’s degree in education with an emphasis in sport management from Baylor and graduated from TWU with her Ph.D. in Sport Administration in May 2010. In addition, In July 2016, Margie also earned her professional coaching certification through the Institute for Excellence in Professional Coaching.
