Job Description

  • Oversee a group of 20 players and provide feedback, reminders and encouragement during court sessions.
  • Provide mentorship and positive role modeling to players throughout the day.
  • Provide supervision in the dorms.
  • Provide assistance with all logistics during the week, including check-in and check-out.
  • Instructors have similar responsibilities for fall and winter courses, but without dorm supervision.

Requirements

  • PGC grads must have completed at least one year of college.
  • Coaches of all levels are welcome.
  • Preferred availability is a minimum of three (3) sessions.
  • Must complete one training session as a volunteer prior to becoming a paid Instructor.

Additional Details

  • PGC does not assist paid Instructors with transportation costs incurred getting to and from a summer session. A dorm room, meals during the session and staff gear are provided.

Site Manager

Job Description

  • Manage all logistical details for the session.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for all logistical and facility details for the session.
  • Work closely with course Director in managing all aspects of check-in & check-out.
  • Work closely with course Director in adhering to all PGC risk management procedures and checklists.
  • Manage emergencies, including facility issues, hospital trips and player issues.
  • Track & report store sales, gear inventory, attendance rosters, rooming lists and injuries.
  • Provide mentorship and positive role modeling to players throughout the day.

Requirements

  • Preferred PGC Instructor, PGC Customer Service Team, or other leadership experience.
  • Must complete pre-summer Site Manager training and one volunteer training session prior to becoming a paid Site Manager.
  • Required availability is a minimum of four (4) sessions per summer.

  • PGC covers transportation costs incurred getting to and from a summer session. A dorm room, meals during session and staff gear are provided.

Director

Job Description

  • Provide leadership and oversight to every aspect of a PGC course, including being responsible for the overall experience for 120+ players and coaches.
  • Teach PGC’s curriculum in the daily classroom sessions (2-3 hrs), film sessions (1 hr) & court sessions (6-7 hrs).
  • Model every aspect of SCHAPE and uphold each aspect of PGC’s culture.
  • Utilize PGC’s teaching methodology, best practices, and unique vocabulary.
  • Lead daily staff meetings, manage the entire staff, and provide timely feedback.
  • Learn the names of every participating athlete and Observing Coach and make meaningful individual connections.

Requirements

  • Must have significant coaching, camp directing or PGC experience.
  • Must be available to work a minimum of 3-4 sessions each summer.
  • Must be available to participate in pre-summer Director training.
  • Must have completed or must complete one session as a volunteer prior to becoming a paid Director.

  • Pay for Directors is based on level of experience with PGC, as well as coaching and camp directing experience.
