Megan Murphy | Clinton Corners, New York

“I wanted to drop you a note and tell you how impressed I was with every aspect of the program. From your leadership to your instructors, I believe you have made a positive impact both on my son as well as me. I will admit to coming to PGC as a coach and thinking I wouldn’t learn much. I have been to a lot of “camps” in my time and thought this would primarily be good for my son. There are not many times that I think I got more than I paid for, but as far as I am concerned you couldn’t charge enough for the experience we both had. I believe it will change my son’s life as well as my own. I am going to use SCHAPE with all of my teams and we have instituted its principals in my own home!”

Sean O’Neil, Hudson | Hudson, New Hampshire

Any player who wants to have a serious chance to play college basketball—especially at the 'D1' level—needs to attend PGC. Going to PGC is the smartest move you can ever make.

Greg Tudor | West Lafayette, Indiana

A Basketball Disney World
I have learned more about coaching and teaching this week than I have my entire life. Point Guard College was always a dream for me. A 'Basketball Disney World' that sounded amazing, but due to the price I never got the opportunity to attend as a player. If I could go back and re-do ONE thing as a high school athlete, it would be to attend this camp. Spending a week observing at Point Guard College has been a sort of revival for everyone here. Another observing coach even said out loud that he felt like he had been reborn. We are excited, we are energized, and we have picked up so many teaching tools that we can take back and implement with our kids in every aspect of our lives. I became a better coach, a better teacher, a better mother, a better wife, a better friend by being here surrounded by so many like-minded and inspiring people. I saw 135 kids walk through those doors as shy, timid, awkward strangers. Through the course of this week, I watched PGC staff pour themselves into these kids and ultimately bring 135 strangers together. I not only saw, I felt the energy and the connection formed.... A family like bond created in just 4 days. They learned so much about basketball and even more about leadership. Not a single kid will walk out of these doors the same person they walked in as. Not one. My new dream is to do everything I can to replicate this experience to the best of my ability every single day so that every kid who walks into our program, or walks into my classroom, doesn't walk out the same.
Love the energy, love the competition, didn't love the food
Love the energy, love the competition, didnt love the food but loved meeting so many new friends who had the same interests as me.
So Tired
I was tired and sore but i learned a lot and it was worth it.
Too much walking
I thought Washington University was great, the food was good, but I don’t appreciate the walking.
Sore and Tired
Overall my experience and PGC was pretty good. I had a lot of fun with meeting new people and playing and learning the game. The only downside was that I was always sore and tired throughout the week.
I played against Kyle when I was starting at Pine Forest High School after he went to PGC for the summer before our senior season in 2011-2012. We played them at their house in Niceville, FL the 1st time and he literally scorched me and my team that night and looked flawless all night. Made all the right moves, hitting all his shots and attacking all game on offense and defense. He made me look like a fool to say the least and the year before that, I really didn’t see him playing like this. He was good but not this great. We had to make a game plan to stop him the next 2 games we played and finished 2-1 against his team but he was killing us when he got the chance. He stayed on my mind for sure but he got hurt and his team went out the playoffs early. I did my research and figured out he went to PGC to elevate his game and I’ve been following PGC ever since. It has taken my game to another level. I’ve seen and experienced the results and they are real and he is a legit baller anyone would be blessed to learn from.
My Son Was Hesitant to Go at First...
My son was hesitant to go to PGC basketball camp (due to the overnight aspect of it). My husband and I knew he would love it and told him we wanted him to go and stick it out. We assured him he would agree after the first night and felt it was important for him to tackle this productive struggle. He did in fact LOVE it and is asking to go back next summer. I was very impressed with the 3rd day parent night. It was nice to see what my son was doing in the classroom and on the court. Showing videos and discussing the plays, proved to engage and teach the athletes. I know my son was attentive and engaged as he was raising his hand to answer questions. It also seemed that Nick made an effort to learn the player's names. You can tell he is an educator! I was also impressed with the note taking aspect during classroom time. Teaching the players to be their best selves on and off the court, having a growth mindset, and showing respect as a player and person were all amazing parts of the camp. We loved this camp!
Helpful Seeing Coaches Manage Players With Differing Skill Levels
the camp was obviously full of players with differing skill levels. It was helpful to see the coaches working through this on court. It was also very helpful to have ideas on how to extend drills for higher level players. I attended this camp with our 3rd son to go through PGC. It was my first time, but I was familiar with many of the principles as PGC is spoken of often in our household. the principles apply to so many things. My husband (a multiple time attender) uses the principles and language of PGC in leading our boys. My older sons use the principles and language in their college and work lives now. the leadership concepts are timeless and applicable across life. I love that my boys get those through practicing them in a game we all love.
Incredibly Positive and Enthusiastic Coaches
The positivity and enthusiasm was incredible! 'Seeing' every kid, knowing their names, caring about their individual development was huge. The classroom information and having it all written down will be a very helpful resource. Character development that improves the player on the court but more importantly, the human in life is a gift that PGC provides. The emphasis on doing all the little things is a consistent message at camp and one that will live in their heads during future practices and games. I can't say enough about this camp. There cannot be a better director and coaches anywhere! Thank you so much for investing your time and energy in my son!
I Really Liked the Focus On Decision Making
I really liked the focus on decision making, the focus on peeking at the basket/down the floor is very key. Also, I intend to really reinforace power position with my team this year. That and Mo Stops. I think some of the open court dribbling stuff is what I will use the most. the Mo Stops/Changes, butt cutts and pullbacks are essential tools. I will also use some of the language from the classroom to talk about leadership with my players.
there Are Not Enough Words To Describe the Incredible Experience I'Ve Had At PGC Playmaker College
there are not enough words to describe the incredible experience I've had at PGC Playmaker College. the course itself was set up wonderfully and was full of pertinent information. I know the athletes had to have learned so much because I did as a coach. Specifically, I took away how to bring a spirited culture to a gym and a classroom. I also learned how to structure a practice and have gained many coaching points to bring to my athletes.
Couldn't Be More Pleased as a Coach
I could not be more pleased with the experience, the camp was exceptional. The growth I saw in my player as well as the other players during the week was phenomenal. The professionalism and attention to detail was second to none. The leadership from Coach Greene was key in how the entire camp ran and the staff was supportive, attentive, and helpful to all the athletes.
Food wasn’t great, dorms were ok, basketball was great.
Food wasn’t great, dorms were ok, basketball was great.
Pushed Me Out Of My Comfort Zone Many Times
PGC was really helpful and pushed me out of my comfort zone many times. I learned a lot about basketball strategies on and off the court. My only recommendation for improvement was to have more organized order of topics for the classroom session (like cover all of a certain topic, etc leadership, on one day rather than giving us a little bit of info on it every day).
Preparing for Mistakes Before the Moment...
Our son came home having learned so much. While he was exhausted (in a good way he could not wait to tell us all about it. I asked him what he felt was his biggest take away from the week. He responded that one would be preparing for the moment and mistakes ahead of time so that when the "moment" or adversity comes you have already rehearsed how you will respond.
It Helped Renew My Energy To Keep Coaching
PGC resonates with my natural coaching philosophy and thus legitimizes my instincts, while giving me the vocabulary and confidence to follow them more fully. (Gamefying, positivity, larger purpose of building cultural leaders rather than merely skilled players) It also helped renew my energy to keep coaching, even in potentially more challenging situations.
No Longer Questioning Myself as a Coach
My last summer contact with my team was a week ago before we let them go until open gyms in September. My coaching bucket was empty and I’ve been questioning myself. THE FIRST DAY of this camp filled my bucket. By the end of this week, my bucket is not only filled but is much larger than when I got here. Thank you!
So Many Fabulous Lessons
I appreciate the classroom discussions so very much. Teaching the kids to take notes. Encouraging & teaching them to stand up in front of others and speak without fidgeting, with a leadership voice. I appreciate the celebration, feedback, celebration stacking for feedback. So many fabulous lessons . . .
the Life Lessons Reminded Me Why I Started Coaching In the First Place
This experience gave me the tools and confidence and even wake up call to be selfish in my own journey in coaching and have the confidence to believe in my own ability. the Xs and Os boosted my confidence while the life lessons interlaced reminded me why I started coaching in the first place.
He Bloomed in His Game
As a parent, I was able to see my son start to bloom not only in his game but as an individual. I saw a change before my eyes. It was nice to witness. As one of his high school coaches, I saw a student-athlete start to own it and figure out how to get those around him to come with him.
So Welcoming!
It was very good, learned a lot of new things to take back with me. Although it is a basketball camp, they teach you things that apply to all aspects of life. The PGC environment is so welcoming and makes you play harder and better. Also you meet new people that help you become better
Implemented A Ton Of Lessons
I've implemented a ton of lessons I learned through PGC over the last 3 seasons, coaching about 7 teams, especially the idea of positive reinforcement over harping on negatives or just yelling at players. I've change my teams' culture, based, primarily on lessons learned through PGC.
I am most definetly coming back!!!

This Week Has Been Indescribably Incredible
This week has been indescribably incredible. Not because it was fun ( yet it was at times), but because my hard work payed off and because the information we learned will have a direct impact on my vision of myself as a player. I will hopefully be back.
PGC changed my life.
He was always so passionate with us and always showed everyone what it was like to be a true leader! I have never felt the caring embrace of so many people in my life before! It had truly changed my life and it will continue to change my life.
Captivated the Athletes and Great Communication

Re-wronte All His Notes
Connor LOVED PGC camp. He took notes and then came home and re-wrote all of his notes and read them to us each day and showed us examples. He's only 11 and he learned things that will last him a lifetime, on and off the court!
It was good but I was very tired
It was good but I was very tired
Jam Schallenberger
This camp taught me how to be a great leader, basketball player and energy giver to my teammates. I am going to be a different person (in a good way) when I walk out the door each day, both in basketball and as a person.
