Do You Want to Truly Help Your Child in Basketball?

None of us want our kids to get cut, sit on the bench, or fall short of their potential.

That’s painful to watch and it breaks our heart as parents.

That’s why we created the Playmaker College camp, so your child will finally get the roadmap, teachings, inspiration, and tools to make teams, get minutes, & stand out on the floor.

Your Child Deserves The Best Training – Period.

Sure, you can get world-class skills training in a few other places too.

But there’s no other place on the planet for players to develop their basketball IQ, mindset, leadership, playmaking, and confidence – all at the same time.

Here’s Why Your Child Needs to Develop These Skills »

    BASKETBALL IQ

A great player contributes to their team in ways the average fan never notices. However, good coaches always notice these “little things.” So, if your child wants to be a great player, they better learn how to do these “little things” too.

    MINDSET

Most players play the game with little thought about their mindset. Yet, at every level of play, a winning mindset separates average players from ‘the great ones.’ At PGC, your child will develop the mindset to be a champion.

    LEADERSHIP

It takes energy and intelligence to ‘run the show’ for a team. Leaders have to inspire teammates, foster a sense of urgency, and get others to work together. PGC is a ‘leadership laboratory’ for every age and stage to develop these skills.

    CONFIDENCE

What if your child could transform their perspective towards setbacks, losing, injuries, being benched, unfair treatment, and all the things that can rob them of their confidence and joy? Well, they can transform — and we’ll teach them how.

    COMMUNICATION

Coaches always tell their players to communicate on the court, but most players don’t know what to say and resort to useless ‘chatter.’ At PGC, we teach players exactly what to say and how to say it.

Is PGC Right For Your Child?

Each summer, over 16,000 players from middle school to high school attend a PGC camp — but PGC is not for every player.

PGC is only for dedicated players who are serious about getting better.

Your child doesn’t have to take themselves too seriously in order to benefit from our camps (we still have lots of fun!), but they will need to enjoy working hard and challenging their existing self-beliefs to improve their skills.

Take our 1-minute test to find out if PGC could be a good fit…

    TAKE THE TEST

"I just finished Playmaker College with my 12-year old son. It was one of the most amazing experiences of both our lives. We got a year’s worth of knowledge in one week—not just lessons in basketball, but in life. This was more than worth the investment of time and money."
Jeremy Brown  |  Parent of a PGC Grad

    What Players Do at PGC…

    • Hear It – Each habit or skill is taught in the classroom first.
    • See It – Players watch film of pro players using each habit.
    • Do It – Players learn to apply each habit in game situations.

What Players Don’t Do at PGC…

    • There are no talent shows or swim breaks.
    • There are no celebrity autograph sessions.
    • And, we don’t roll out the balls and “just play.”

    WHAT YOU'LL LEARN

Make sure you send your child to camp with their notebook and pen because our top-rated basketball directors are going to help them learn things like:

    • The #1 mistake most players make with the ball in their hand that’s all but guaranteed to crush their confidence no matter how much time they spend practicing. (This is something that can be fixed almost instantly by learning one simple skill.)
    • A simple mind control “trick” that can almost force teammates to pass your child the ball more often, and possibly even when the game is on the line.
    • The 6 letter acronym that transformed PGC President, Mano Watsa, from a skinny little 5’1” 10th grader (with barely an ounce of talent) into a 2-time All-Canadian, and Academic All-Canadian Player. (These principles are introduced in the classroom on Day 1 and have the power to set your child up for incredible success, on and off the court.)
    • The easiest way on the planet to become an instant threat on offense every single time you get the ball. (Preached often by former Cleveland Cavaliers NBA Head Coach, John Beilein, players learn this subtle move on the court on Day 1 and will be shocked at how quickly & easily they can become a 3-option player and get their defender off balance without moving a limb.)

12 Pro Tips Players Learn at the Playmaker College…

    FINISHING AT THE RIM

A sneaky skill most high school players never learn but that top players like Luka Doncic use in the paint every game to freeze shot blockers, initiate and absorb contact and score 6, 8, even as many as 10 more points per game. (This is easily the #1 way to get to the free throw line and possibly double your points per game.)

    STUDYING FILM

Little-known film watching secrets that can literally increase your Basketball IQ by 10 or more “points” overnight. (While most average players continue “oohing and ahhing” over a big dunk or blocked shot, you’ll discover how to watch NBA & WNBA games as a ‘student of the game’ instead of just a “fan” so you can quickly identify what makes a play successful and get ahead of the competition.)

    LEADING YOURSELF & TEAMMATES

The #1 most underrated and overlooked way to become the leader of your team and impact each game in a HUGE way. (This might be the easiest way on the planet to make it nearly impossible for a coach not to at least consider giving your child more game minutes.)

    PLAYING ‘BIGGER THAN YOUR SIZE’

3 basic moves that can help your child play ‘bigger than their size’ and use their lack of size to make bigger, stronger, faster players look like they’re stuck in quicksand. (Once your child adds these 3 moves to “their bag”, you’ll probably be amazed to see how much more confidently (and aggressively) they attack the rim, no matter the opponent.)

    DEVELOPING INTANGIBLES

3 secrets to getting more playing time and attention from coaches. (In just one week your child will discover the same uncommon skills, leadership traits, and mindset that helped PGC Grads like 2023 NBA Champion, Jamal Murray, and 2x WNBA Champion, Kristi Toliver, stand out and get noticed at the next level.)

    PRACTICE MISTAKES TO AVOID

4 things you must never do in practice if you want to get (or stay) on your coach’s good side. (Many players unknowingly contaminate their practices and drive good coaches CRAZY by doing one or all of these ignorant and selfish things. Don’t let that be you!)

    POWERFUL PASSING

Avoid the common mistake of trying to pass over or around defenders, which often leads to bad passes and unforced turnovers against more athletic players. (Instead, learn the most effective and efficient passing technique in today’s game so you can deliver on-time, on-target passes for more easy buckets.)

    PENETRATING THE PAINT

Insider scoring tips straight from our PGC Directors who have all played or coached high level college or professional basketball. (Including how to penetrate and score… penetrate and dish for easy buckets… penetrate and kick out to shooters… and much more.)

    DAILY GROWTH MINDSET

3 obvious ways to develop the kind of growth mindset that’s required to separate yourself from the pack and become a star. (The same psychology that can help players who attend our Day 3 morning classroom session realize the importance of having a relentless work ethic, also helped Kobe Bryant develop the ‘Mamba Mentality’ on his way to winning 5 NBA Championships.)

    RISING ABOVE PEER PRESSURE

How to overcome the 4 distractions that can destroy your chances of becoming everything you’re capable of and sidetrack you from your goals and dreams. (As parents, it’s often difficult to know how to keep our kids away from social media, video games, alcohol & drugs, and junk food/drinks… but players who “buy-in” to this life lesson taught during our Day 3 evening classroom session, can develop the discipline to be different and avoid these distractions like the plague.)

    BECOMING AN ‘A’ LEVEL PLAYER

5 simple ways to show up to every practice and game as an ‘A’ player and stand out to good coaches, without even picking up a basketball or saying a word. (Nearly every top NBA & WNBA player exemplifies these 5 habits and encourages their teammates to do the same.)

    PLAYING WITH POWER

Exactly how to get into a power position so you can protect the ball, own your space, and avoid getting overwhelmed by bigger players. (This one habit is a key fundamental every great player possesses, including McDonald’s All-American & PGC Grad, Haley Peters. And it is especially useful for smaller guards!

    AND SO MUCH MORE…

After just 5 days of serious learning, your child will have the basketball skills and leadership traits guaranteed to make them a more confident player heading into next season.

    THE DEEPER IMPACT…

Beyond skills, this camp gives players a vision for their career — and life. Far more than just a pep talk, these ‘intangibles’ are taught and woven into the fabric of every classroom, film, and court session:

Ownership – How to take responsibility for every thought and action.
Self-discipline – How to take greater initiative on and off the court.
Energy-giving – How to bring infectious energy and uplift to others.

Here’s what a former Fortune 500 executive said after the camp:
    Read Her Surprising Story »

“My two boys and I attended the Playmaker College camp this past week. We had all assumed we were simply ‘going to basketball camp’…

If you ask our boys, they will tell you this was ‘the best week of their lives.’ What we collectively learned is that PGC is far more than ‘a basketball camp.’ PGC is a leadership experience in the cloak of a basketball camp.

I sat in the back of the classroom for an evening session and decided from there to shift my calls so I could make as many of the classroom sessions as possible.

I have attended hundreds of hours of leadership training over the years. In my view, what my boys experienced was among the best leadership/life training I have personally been exposed to. The fact that they leave loving basketball more than they did when they arrived, and with improved skills, is simply the icing on the cake.

I was struck by the fact that parents who come to collect their kids on the last day don’t really know how much their kids have been exposed to, and how open they are to being better humans as a result.

It should be said that the Director was exceptional and inspiring, and the team that supported him was excellent as well. Please accept my sincere thank you for doing the kind of work that has the potential for such positive impact on our children’s lives. We have registered for your Summer Lifetime Pass for both boys.”

    ENROLLMENT

This camp is open to male and female players entering 7th - 11th Grade and is the ideal starting place for any player new to PGC, including more advanced players.

The majority of our Playmaker College camps are limited to no more than 120 players to maximize each player's learning experience. Other camps are often 2-3 times this size, but we don’t take any more players than our camp director can know by name.

Our sessions fill up and we turn away lots of players each summer, so don’t wait to sign up.

    CAMP SCHEDULE

Each day of camp includes multiple classroom, film and gym sessions.

Overnight Camps: Check-in on the first day takes place between 11:30am-12:30pm. Check-out is at 11:30am on the final day.

Get a 'Sneak Peek' of our Overnight Playmaker College Daily Schedule

Day Camps: Each day runs from 9am to 4pm.

The packing list and 'getting ready' details will be available in the weeks leading up to your session.

    OVERNIGHT CAMP SUPERVISION & DORMS

At PGC, the safety and well-being of each player is our top priority. For nearly the entire day, all the players are together on the court, in class, or in the dining hall. Our staff stay in the dorms with the players to provide supervision & curfew checks.

The players don't have a lot of time in the dorms, as they typically have less than an hour following the evening gym session to shower, have a snack and be in their room before curfew.

The dorms are typically two players (of the same age) to a room. If desired, you can make a roommate request during the registration process.

    CAMP STAFF

At many camps, the Director is a celebrity athlete or coach who lends his or her name to the program — but little else.

At PGC camps, the Director personally leads every session and takes the time to know every player by name.

Our team of Instructors will be there to inspire and support your child through every session. Our Instructors are typically PGC grads who have played college basketball and coach high school or college basketball.

"I have worked with some great teachers of the game, however, this week at PGC, I observed the best teacher I've ever seen. The sessions were powerful, purposeful, and efficient. Not a session went by where I wasn't thrilled with the content and delivery. I can't tell you how impressed I am with PGC."
    — Coach Dave Jankowski, La Palma, California

Classroom time was something I was looking forward to—but I didn’t expect it to be as good as it was. Ben was dialed in and seems to have taken his thinking and approach to the game to another level. The directors did an incredible job of holding attention and managing such a large group. Ben ate up every word.

I have had the best experience ever I feel like I have learned a lot about not just basketball but as I person I feel like I can go play basketball without any set plays and like I have gotten better.

My kid learned a ton, and had lots of fun. I appreciated they spent as much time in the classroom, and grew as people too. The positive attitudes and amped up environment was great.

If I could have rated everything 11 I would have. Immeasurable learning and growth. The content this week will fill half my practice plans. Would expand more with more time.

    FAQs

    Frequently Asked Questions

    Event General Questions

Which camp should I attend first?

The only prerequisite to attend PGC is a desire to work hard and learn. If your child is age-eligible, and you’ve already taken the test, we HIGHLY recommend attending our camps in the following order if your schedule permits:

    1. Playmaker College - Incoming 7th-11th grade players
    2. Scoring College - Incoming 9th-12th grade & college
    3. Point Guard College - Incoming 9th-12th grade & college

Note – If you have a child who’s in the 4th-7th grade, check out our non-residential Point Guard Prep day camps to locate a camp near you.

How do I know if my child is good enough to attend?

We get this question often and it's not about being 'good enough.'

If your child is a dedicated player who loves the game and wants to improve, they'll fit right in. If they're not interested in learning the game, PGC is probably not for them, regardless of how good they are.

Players are placed in skill-based groups, so if your child is a less experienced player, they'll be with others who are similar — and if they're one of the top players, they'll be with other top players.

Is PGC for players of every position?

Yes. We teach the game, not a group of skills specific to one position.

Any player will benefit from any PGC camp—regardless of their position—as long as they are eager to learn the game.

How do we know it will be worth it?

Over 140,000 players and 10,000 coaches have attended a PGC camp over the past 31 years and the feedback is consistent.

Players who are eager to learn and get better have a really special experience. A player who thinks they know it all already and isn't interested in getting better doesn't typically enjoy their time with us.

As long as your son or daughter has a passion for the game and wants to improve, they're going to love their time at PGC.

As we stand behind the experience we provide, and to remove any risk for you, we are the only camp in the camp industry to offer a 100% Money-Back Guarantee.

If your child attends an entire PGC session and you aren’t completely satisfied with their basketball experience, simply contact us within this calendar year and not only will we refund your entire camp tuition, we will also send you an additional $500 cash to help cover any of your other basketball events or travel related expenses this year, to help further your child’s development.

But don’t just take our word on the impact of the PGC experience. Check out what a few PGC grads had to share about their time at PGC:

How many players attend each session?

The majority of our sessions have 80-120 players with a 12:1 player-to-coach ratio. Typically, basketball camps are two to three times the size of our sessions, but we don’t take any more players than our course director can know by name.

Most of our programs fill up and we turn away lots of players each summer, but we limit enrollment so that we can provide the best experience possible for players.

What's the competition level like at each session?

Players get the chance to compete against other players all week long in specially-designed games to reinforce what’s being taught. But, competition is not the focus of the camp.

At PGC, we focus on the skills, habits, mindset, and leadership traits players are learning while they’re competing. We do our best to put players in age and skill appropriate divisions, but we’re not concerned when that doesn’t happen as what we’re attempting to instill in players isn’t dependent on the level of competition.

To assist the mindset and leadership training, we challenge players to partner and compete with older or younger players at times, and those of the opposite gender. If you don’t feel comfortable with your child competing against those of the opposite gender, please advise our Site Manager upon your arrival at camp and we’ll do our best to minimize the likelihood of this happening.

What if we don’t know our summer schedule yet?

You can wait until you know your child’s complete summer schedule before you register. The only problem is, the session you want to register for may be sold out by then as most of our camps do sell out each year.

To make it risk-free for you, we offer Tuition Protection which gives you a full refund if you cancel more than 5 days before your camp and a 100% PGC credit if you cancel within 5 days. In addition, as long as it's at least two weeks prior to your session, you can transfer to another camp without any additional cost.

What if my child is too busy and just has too much going on?

What exactly are they doing that’s keeping them so busy? Are their activities aligned with their dreams and aspirations, or are they just following the crowd and hoping for the best? Great players don’t base their games—or their lives—on hope. And, they certainly don’t follow the masses. First, they decide what they want; then they go out and find the people and learning opportunities that will get them there.

What good is it to be seen by hundreds of college coaches at AAU events if they’re not doing anything special to stand out from the crowd? A good college coach can pick out the best players on the court within the first five minutes of a game. Sometimes, they can even spot the best players during warm-ups, just by noticing how they carry themselves and interact with others.

Smart players spend more time “getting better” than “getting seen.”

What if the camp is just too far away?

The average PGC camp attracts players from 11 different states, as well as a handful of international players. Hundreds of players fly, endure long bus rides, or beg a parent or coach to drive them 10-12 hours to get to PGC. We are constantly amazed at how far some players will travel to attend a session.

Right now, players in North Dakota, Alaska, Lithuania, and New Zealand are coming up with creative ways to get themselves to PGC.

    So, don’t let distance be a deal-breaker for you. Where there’s a will, there's usually a way.

“When we left PGC, we had a 10-hour trip ahead of us, so I thought that Daymon would sleep most of the way home. Although physically exhausted, he was so energized and excited that we talked for over nine hours about his experience at PGC. He said, ‘Dad, this was one of the greatest weeks of my life.’ Last night, I watched him play in open gym and he is already incorporating what he learned into his game. Thanks for the positive impact that you made on our son.”
    — Joe Osborn, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

What details can you provide if I'll be flying to a session?

If you are flying to a PGC session, you are responsible for your own transportation to and from the session. We recommend visiting the airport website(s) to determine the best means of transportation to and from the college. Many airlines have specific protocols for minors traveling alone. Please contact individual airlines accordingly.

    International Travel Insurance

If you are an player attending a session in a country where you are not a resident, you must either:

    • Purchase international travel insurance and forward a copy of your certificate of coverage to PGC.
    • Provide a written letter waiving PGC of all responsibility in case of an injury or accident.

The certificate of coverage or written letter must be emailed to [email protected] at least two weeks prior to the start of your session.

    Flight Times

We recommend booking a flight on the morning of your session that will allow you to arrive at the host college for check-in before 12 noon. If you arrive at the college before check-in begins, it’s not a problem (just bring a book to read!). If you are flying to your session a night early and you require accommodations, we may be able to assist you.

At most of our sessions, players who are at least 18 years or older can stay in the dorms a night early. To make a request for an early arrival, please contact us at least three weeks prior to your session.

Note: We do not provide supervision or meals to players who arrive a night early to a session. Due to liability concerns, we are unable to provide early arrival accommodations to players under the age of 18.

Are there swim breaks or special outings?

There are no talent shows, swim breaks, or celebrity autograph signings, and we don’t roll out the balls and “just play”. You can find these things at many basketball camps, but not at PGC.

We believe when you invest in your game, you should actually get better and improve. So, our commitment is to NEVER waste a player's time or attention.

Will I receive an evaluation at the end of the session?

Players do not receive an evaluation of their skills at the end of their PGC camp. We spend 100% of our time teaching players, not evaluating them.

Players receive feedback from our director, the instructors, and other players throughout each court session, in addition to the dozens of pages of notes most players take in the classroom. We expect players to write down all the helpful feedback they receive all week long, just like any dedicated player would do.

Are coaches who attend PGC camps there to recruit players?

Coaches who observe PGC camps are there to grow as a coach, and coaches who are on staff at sessions are there to assist you as a player. Exposure is not the focus of a PGC session.

With that being said, we typically have directors, instructors, or observing coaches who are college coaches or who are highly connected in the college coaching world. So, just like with any experience in life, it often pays to stand out and be special.

As a parent, can I watch any part of the week?

We invite parents to join us on Day 3 evening at each of our residential courses for the classroom, film, and court session. We also invite parents to join us for the opening Parent Meeting on Day 1, prior to the start of the session, and for the Closing Ceremonies on the final morning.

These are the only times we permit parents to observe, as popping in and out during the week can be a distraction for players and our staff. Parents may take their son or daughter for a meal off-campus during the week, if desired.

Will players be allowed to use their cell phones at camp?

Yes, we do allow cell phones! We want athletes to stay connected with their families so they can check in and keep them updated with everything they're learning at camp. We also require them to set alarms to wake themselves up every morning. There is, however, very limited time for athletes to be on their phones during the week. We ask they are on silent and kept in their bag during the gym and classroom sessions. You will be provided with our on-site manager's phone number in case of an emergency.

What do we need to bring to camp?

All athletes must bring a basketball, water bottle notebook, and pen. You will receive an email and text one month before camp starts with a “Getting Ready” link with more information and a complete packing list.

If your child will be attending a day camp, please make sure to pack a lunch for your athlete. Meals are not provided at day camps.

    Tuition, Cancellations & Injuries

What if I need to cancel my registration?

Things sometimes come up that are unavoidable—we get it. That's why we offer Tuition Protection, so you can have peace-of-mind.

Cancellation Policy: If your child can't attend the camp for any reason, including schedule conflicts, last-minute injuries, a concussion, an unexpected illness, or a family emergency, you will receive a 100% credit for camp fees paid that can be applied to a future camp, transferred to a friend, or donated to an underprivileged player. Without tuition protection, camp fees are non-refundable.

In the unlikely event that PGC has to cancel the camp, 100% of your tuition fees paid will be credited towards a future PGC camp.

With Tuition Protection: The purchase of tuition protection during registration will give you a full refund if you cancel more than 5 days before your camp and a 100% PGC credit if you cancel within 5 days of camp. ($125)

What does Tuition Protection provide me with?

With Tuition Protection: The purchase of tuition protection during registration will give you a full refund if you cancel more than 5 days before your camp and a 100% PGC credit if you cancel within 5 days of camp.

Fee: $75 for day camps and $125 for residential camps.

Note: Without a protection plan, tuition is non-refundable.

    What about injuries?

If you’re injured prior to your session, we recommend you still attend. Many players have done this, and nearly every player has said they were glad they did. The majority of teaching takes place in the classroom, so as long as you can write and sit in a chair, you’ll get all the information that every other player receives.

Note: Every player's health and safety is our utmost priority. We've consulted college coaches and top athletic trainers to ensure we're taking every precaution possible to minimize the risk of injuries at the camp, including managing the physical load placed on players and ensuring proper rest and recovery time. We will also have an athletic trainer onsite for the duration of the camp.

What if we can't afford the tuition fee?

How determined are you or your child to attend a PGC camp?

If you are truly determined, there are ways to make it happen, even if you are financially challenged. Lots of parents and players have done it. We hear their stories all the time.

If you can’t help your child pay for the camp, don’t let that stop them. Right now, a player in Texas is figuring out how many lawns he has to mow to get to a session, while a player in Chicago is calculating how many driveways she has to shovel to get to a camp. For decades now, players have been resourceful in finding ways to raise the money they need to attend. What about you?

Here are a few quick ideas to assist your child, as they can:
    • See if their school’s basketball program or athletic department will support them.
    • Ask family members to put holiday and/or birthday gift money towards the tuition fee.
    • Ask a coach or a teacher for help in seeking financial assistance from a community organization. Many local small businesses raise money to support young people who need assistance—especially if the opportunity is focused on leadership and character development.

As a competitive athlete, your child will always face obstacles in their life, and some may seem impossible to overcome. But whatever the current circumstances, there is someone out there who has faced the exact same circumstances and found a way to realize their goals.

Once they've done these things, if they still need assistance, let us know and we'll do our part to support you. We help many players each year, especially when they've shown us their level of commitment to attending PGC. Get further details here.

Note: We also provide a financial discount for clergy and military families. Contact us for details.

    Do you offer group discounts?

While we rarely offer discounts at PGC, if you're planning to attend with a group of 5 or more players, we'd be happy to explore creating an exclusive group discount for you.

    Meals, Allergies & Accommodations

If my child has allergies, how does your team ensure they'll be taken care of at camp?

If your athlete has allergies, it's critical to add that information to the medical forms you'll be required to fill out after registering for camp. You will also get the opportunity to speak to our Site Manager at camp check-in. If your athlete has any medication, they must be able to administer and store it themselves.

Please reach out directly to customer support team at [email protected] with any additional concerns or requests and we'll be happy to assist!

What are the meals like at the residential camps?

We have hungry players and staff at PGC courses. As a result, every meal is all-you-can-eat. Each college cafeteria provides a variety of options at every meal, and we request as many nutritious options as possible, especially as our staff have to eat cafeteria food all summer long.

But, we can't guarantee your session will have amazing food, especially as we don't know what you think 'amazing food' is. If you're a picky eater, we recommend bringing lots of extra snacks so you don't go hungry.

Note: We recognize some players have dietary restrictions and we work with each college to accommodate specific dietary needs. Please note your dietary restrictions on our 'additional information' forms once you've signed up and we'll contact you if we have questions.

Are the camps safe? What type of supervision do you provide?

At PGC courses, the safety and well-being of each player is our top priority. For nearly the entire day, all the players and staff are together on the court, in class, or in the dining hall.

My son, 14 years old, had never been to any sort of sleep-away camp, nor had he ever been to a basketball camp (day-long or otherwise), so he didn't know what to expect and he was excited but anxious. He was very happily surprised at the instruction level, the intensity, and the safe and supportive and encouraging environment that the PGC coaches created.
    - Heather Bowen, PGC Mom

The safety, especially at night exceeded expectations - thank you! As a mom, that was my biggest concern. Addi is quiet while she takes in information and tries it out so thank you for recognizing everyone learns differently and is quiet at first but they are still learning.
    - Amy Skaggs, PGC Mom

    Dorms

For overnight camps, our staff stay in the dorm building with the players, and we ensure appropriate supervision and curfew checks each night. The players do not have a lot of time in the dorms, as they typically have less than an hour following the evening gym session to shower, have a snack, and be in their room before curfew.

    Our Three Rules:
    1. Players are not permitted to enter the dorms of the opposite gender at any time or they will be immediately sent home.
    2. Players are not permitted to leave the campus at any time unless it is with a parent.
    3. Players are must be in their own room by curfew.

    What are the dorms like?

Don’t expect the dorm rooms to be like the Hilton – they’re not. Some are nicer than others, but typically the rooms are standard college dorm rooms.

We attempt to get dorms with air-conditioning whenever possible (nearly all college dorms have AC in the southern states), but some dorms don’t have it. You won’t spend much time in your room, but if you end up in a dorm that’s not very nice (or cool), it’ll be a chance for you to practice what you’ll learn at PGC about approach and mental toughness.

If you don't require a dorm room for the week, you will save $100 off the tuition fee. We do recommend staying on-campus if possible, as the 'full-immersion experience' is instrumental in the transformation process for players.

Note: Meals are still included for commuting players.

    Will my camp be co-ed?

Yes. Good basketball is good basketball, regardless of gender. That’s why all our courses are co-ed. All players attend the classroom sessions together, but the genders are separated in the dorms and for the majority of the gym sessions.

    Can I request a roommate?

We do our best to accommodate roommate requests. The dorms are typically two players to a room, although there are a few dorms that are singles, triples or quads.

You can make your roommate request after you register for your session. Your request must be made at least three weeks prior to the start of your session. Any requests made within three weeks of the start date cannot be guaranteed, and we cannot accommodate any requests for roommate changes during check-in.

What if we want to register, but our child would prefer to come with a teammate?

Sure, they can bring a teammate with them. The more teammates who attend PGC with them, the more games they’re likely to win next season.

However, don’t wait to register until they convince some teammates to join them, or you may end up losing your spot in the process.

If your child only likes to attend camps with people they know, think of this as an ideal opportunity to stretch them out of their comfort zone. Even if their teammates choose not to enroll, they’re going to meet some incredible people—many who they’ll be friends with long after their PGC session.

“Before I came to PGC, I was thinking, “I’m not going to know anyone there!”. But, as it turns out, I was welcomed into an extraordinary environment of athletes, instructors, and directors who made me feel like I was at home.”
    Misha Jones, Manassas Park, Virginia

“What I love most about PGC is the attitude and approach of everyone around me. I have never been surrounded by such great, driven, and positive people. It just shows what kind of athletes PGC attracts.”
    Jacquie Chataway, Mississauga, Ontario

    Waiting Lists

If I'm on the waiting list for a sold out session, how do I know if a spot comes available?

Once a session sells out, if spots come available, we contact all the players on the wait list at the same time. The spots are then filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

What are my chances of getting into a camp if I'm on the waiting list?

Spots occasionally become available within a month or two of the start date of a sold-out session. Your chances depend on how many cancellations there are for a given session and how many other athletes are on the waiting list at the time spots become available.

Can I sign up for another camp AND a wait list and then later switch?

Yes. If you sign up for another camp and spots become available in the camp for which you're on a wait list, you can switch into the sold-out session at no additional expense.

Reserve your spot today as our camps fill quickly.
