Job Requirements
- Flexible availability during June-October to support PGC camps and onsite staff, including nights and weekends.
- Be able to work independently from a home office.
- Have access to a personal computer with secure internet capabilities.
- Have access to a work space that allows for focused work with minimal background noises and distractions.
- Limited travel required.
- This is a full-time, 12 month position.
- This position is 100% behind the “basketball scenes” and does not include hands on work with players or coaches.
Job Description
- Coordinating and assisting in negotiating and monitoring facility contracts.
- Identify key locations and schedule summer & year-round PGC events.
- Serving as the contact person between internal and external clients associated with PGC events and on-site staff hosting PGC events.
- Maintaining positive relationships with facility conference service & campus contacts, troubleshooting problems that arise during the use of each facility for PGC events.
- Coordinating and assisting with training and supervising summer support staff.
- Managing and supporting summer sessions and year-round events.
- Use judgment and initiative to facilitate efficiency while maintaining high levels of service and integrity.
- Working on assignments that are complex and may require problem resolution and development of new methods and procedures.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Key Attributes Required
- Minimum of two years experience in conference and event services, facility management and/or event coordination, university/college employment settings, or related hospitality industry required. Other relevant experience will be considered.
- Ability to anticipate needs and prioritize/manage multiple complex tasks while maintaining a high level of customer service to internal and external partners.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, solve problems and adjust quickly to changing situations and requirements.
- Ability to handle complex problems effectively and to separate key issues and generate multiple solutions.
- Ability to identify and communicate open questions and problems. Flexibility to address new challenges and learn new skills.
- Ability to closely collaborate on projects and to independently execute assigned tasks.
- Possess strong analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- PGC seasonal or summer staff experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hotel/Tourism/Management, Sport Management or a related field.
- Experience in a supervisory role.
- Experience in conferencing, negotiation and sales.
- Experience supporting the development of programs, workshops, conferences and special events.
- Experience with budget plans, financial reports, invoicing and payments.
