    PGC BASKETBALL DIRECTOR

Israel “Izzy” Lockamy’s basketball journey is defined by faith, resilience, and a deep love for both the game and the people he mentors. An undersized point guard, Izzy earned his way the hard way, walking on at the college level without recruitment and securing playing time through defense, basketball IQ, and relentless effort.

At the University of Lynchburg, Izzy transformed from the last man on the bench into a key starter. Known for his shooting, on-ball defense, and leadership, he developed a versatile understanding of the game by mastering nearly every position on the court. His approach has always been shaped by attention to detail, extra hours in the gym, and a commitment to doing the little things the right way.

Now a professional athlete competing internationally, Izzy has achieved All-Conference honors, earned recognition as leading scorer and three-point shooter of the month in Malta, and scored a career-high 51 points this season in Jordan. These accomplishments reflect not only skill but an unwavering work ethic and determination to excel at every level.

Off the court, Izzy is a high-energy, positive leader whose life is grounded in faith. He brings joy, purpose, and authenticity to every team and every athlete he mentors. Guided by his favorite quote, Izzy instills in campers the importance of perseverance, confidence, and character both on and off the court.

Parents can trust that athletes attending a session led by Izzy will gain more than basketball instruction, they will learn resilience, leadership, and the value of hard work, leaving camp with improved skills, confidence, and a renewed belief in what is possible. Izzy Lockamy exemplifies the PGC philosophy: developing great players, and even greater people.
