From the moment Jada Hollie walks into a gym, her energy is impossible to miss. Known for her infectious enthusiasm, genuine positivity, and ability to instantly connect with athletes, Jada brings a unique combination of high-level basketball experience and heartfelt mentorship to every player she coaches.
A native of Fort Worth, Jada’s basketball journey began at Trimble Tech High School, where she was a four-year starter, team captain, and one of the most accomplished players in her district. She helped lead her team to four consecutive playoff appearances and multiple district championships while earning All-District honors every year of her high school career. Her leadership, consistency, and competitive drive quickly set her apart both on and off the court.
Jada continued her playing career at Southwestern University, where she started every game as a freshman and made an immediate impact at the collegiate level. She later transferred to McMurry University, contributing to a team that advanced to the NCAA Sweet Sixteen. Along the way, she faced significant adversity, including a major ankle injury that tested both her physical and mental resilience. Those experiences ultimately shaped the perspective she carries into coaching today.
Through basketball, Jada learned that identity and self-worth cannot be defined solely by the game. Her experience working with PGC Basketball throughout her college years helped deepen her understanding of grit, gratitude, and purpose, values she now pours into the next generation of athletes as a college basketball coach.
What makes Jada especially impactful is her ability to teach athletes beyond the X’s and O’s. She challenges players to think the game, communicate confidently, and embrace growth through adversity while reminding them that basketball is only one part of their story. Parents appreciate the way she encourages young athletes to develop confidence, character, and perspective that will serve them long after their playing days are over.
For Jada, coaching is about far more than building better players, it’s about helping young people become stronger, more resilient versions of themselves.
