  • Kyle Wright

    PGC BASKETBALL DIRECTOR

Kyle Wright was born in St. Petersburg, Florida, and raised in Texarkana, Texas, where his competitive foundation began. Although football was his first love, Kyle quickly gravitated toward basketball, inspired by players like Dwyane Wade and Stephen Curry, athletes who combined skill, creativity, and relentless work ethic.

Often overlooked because of his size, Kyle developed a mindset that would define his career. Committing to mastering his craft, spending countless hours refining his game. That dedication paid off during his senior year of high school, where he earned All-Region honors and was named District MVP.

Carrying that same chip on his shoulder, Kyle went on to play five years of college basketball. As a starter and All-Conference player on a nationally ranked Division III team, he helped lead deep postseason runs, including appearances in the Sweet 16 and Elite 8. His journey is a testament to resilience, consistency, and the power of intentional development.

Kyle has always been driven to inspire through action. His passion extends beyond the court, as he is committed to mentoring athletes not only in basketball, but in life. He focuses on building confident, disciplined, and thoughtful players who understand how to translate their work ethic into success in all areas.

Currently, Kyle is coaching at Western Texas College, where he continues to impact lives daily. Through his work with PGC, he brings energy, authenticity, and a player-first approach helping athletes think the game, compete with purpose, and grow into leaders both on and off the court.

limits, like fears, are often just an illusion.
