  • Micah Hayes

    PGC BASKETBALL DIRECTOR

Micah Hayes’ basketball journey is defined by resilience, humility, and an unwavering belief in growth. A dedicated husband and father, Micah knows firsthand what it means to be an underdog, earning opportunities through persistence, not promises, and proving that hard work and determination can overcome any obstacle.

Micah played at Emmanuel College, where he became known for his defensive toughness, leadership, and willingness to embrace whatever role his team needed. Competing in an underfunded program, overcoming a torn patella tendon, and navigating shifting roles, he honed a largely self-taught game and cultivated a relentless commitment to improvement. These experiences taught him the value of perseverance, adaptability, and grit, qualities he now instills in every athlete he coaches.

Following his playing career, Micah served as an Assistant Coach at Emmanuel College, competing at both the NAIA Division I and NCAA Division II levels. These opportunities deepened his understanding of player development and reinforced his passion for helping young athletes grow not only as players but as individuals.

Micah was drawn to PGC Basketball by the opportunity to teach the game while mentoring the next generation of athletes. Over the years, he has trained and guided thousands of players, helping them build strong foundations on and off the court. His goal is to provide clarity, inspiration, and the tools athletes need to fully commit to their growth and reach their potential.

At every PGC camp, Micah brings intention, perspective, and creativity. Athletes under his guidance leave camp with more than improved skills—they leave with confidence, focus, and a renewed belief in what is possible. With Micah Hayes leading the session, parents can trust their child is not just learning basketball, but developing character, resilience, and a lifelong love of the game.
