    PGC BASKETBALL DIRECTOR

Steven Hardin’s coaching journey began long before he ever picked up a whistle. As a 4th grader with a deep love for the game and no standout athletic gifts, Steven made a bold decision—he was going to be a basketball coach. That vision, combined with an unmatched work ethic and passion for teaching, has guided his life ever since.

Despite being undersized and overlooked, Steven earned his way onto the Tennessee Tech University basketball team as a walk-on—an achievement that speaks volumes about his drive, grit, and unwavering belief in hard work. That same spirit now fuels his mission to help young athletes reach their potential, both on and off the court.

With a long-standing career in college basketball, Steven has become known for his high-energy coaching style, his deep knowledge of the game, and his ability to connect with players at every level. He’s not just a coach—he’s a teacher, mentor, and motivator who brings contagious passion to every session he leads.

At PGC, Steven is the kind of director who makes an instant impact. Whether it’s helping a quiet player find their voice, building a team-first mindset, or pushing athletes to discover new levels of toughness and skill, Steven does more than develop basketball players—he shapes future leaders.

If you want your child to learn from a coach who earned everything the hard way and never lost his love for the game, Steven is the kind of role model every parent hopes their child will encounter.

“With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible”
    – Matthew 19:26
