Matt McLeod has been a part of the PGC team in a myriad of roles since the spring of 2011, and currently serves as the Assistant Director of Player Development.
In addition to his roles with PGC, Matt just finished his second year as the head coach at Casady High School in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. During the 2018-19 season, Matt led the Cyclones to the second most single-season wins in school history (25). Prior moving to OKC, Matt had been a head coach in Texas high schools for 10 years, where he amassed over 250 wins and was recognized three times as the state’s Outstanding Coach of the Year by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches.
Matt’s last two seasons in Texas were spent at The Covenant Preparatory School (Kingwood, Texas), where the program has amassed a record of 62-15, including a district championship and a 2016-17 Final Four appearance.
Matt’s first interaction with PGC founder Dick DeVenzio was as a junior in high school when Matt was invited to attend a Prep Stars recruiting event. He then attended a PGC session with one of his athletes in 2010. After seeing what an incredible difference PGC made on his athlete and himself, Matt immediately began implementing the concepts of SCHAPE into both his basketball program and personal life.
Matt graduated from Oral Roberts University in 2004 with bachelor degrees in both communications and English. There, he met his wife Emily, and they have four children: Olivia (11), Wesley (9), Boyce (6) and Elizabeth Joy (4).
Matt’s favorite quote is from Hall of Fame coach John Wooden, “You have not taught until they have learned.”
