  • Rudy Bentley Jr.

    PGC BASKETBALL DIRECTOR

Rudy Bentley Jr. has been a mentor, trainer, and like another big brother to me for as long as I can remember. He’s assisted me the past few years in skills on and off the court that have helped me propel myself to a career playing basketball overseas. He’s such a selfless person and always makes time to work with me, even though sometimes I know I can be hard to work with. Any question I have regarding anything on and off the court I know he can provide some valuable insight or words that can positively contribute to my way of thinking or my basketball game.

    – Emmanuel Oby, professional basketball player, England

Rudy Bentley is a 2x PGC graduate, four-year college starter, and former collegiate coach who has impacted players and coaches around the world. He understands firsthand what it means to be undervalued, overlooked, and tested by adversity—and instead of letting it define him, he used it as fuel to grow.

A dynamic penetrator and playmaker, Rudy finished in the top four in assists per game in his conference every season of his collegiate career.

While still an undergraduate, Rudy began training and developing local high school athletes, quickly discovering a passion for helping others grow both on and off the court. Following his playing career, he served as an assistant coach at Lakeland University and Wisconsin Lutheran College. Rudy now runs his own player development and leadership program, Beyond Basketball, in his hometown.

Rudy is also a key member of PGC’s basketball development team, playing an integral role in the refinement and innovation of PGC camp curriculums.

A Rudy Bentley–led PGC camp is an experience players and coaches don’t soon forget.

Although a relatively young man, Coach Rudy has exceptional leadership, communication & engagement skills. His commitment to detail, expert knowledge of the game, & timely personal stories make the PGC experience go “Boooooom!!!!!”
