  • Cameron Larkin

    PGC BASKETBALL DIRECTOR

Cameron Larkin has a smile that lights up a room, but more importantly, it instills confidence, connection, and a sense of belonging in every athlete he meets. His journey in basketball has been defined by both triumph and adversity: winning a state championship alongside his brother Todd, and enduring multiple seasons sidelined by injury. These experiences shaped Cameron into a coach who teaches through perseverance, a deep love for the game, and a joy for life that transcends wins and losses.

Cameron’s own transformation began when he first attended PGC as a seventh grader. Shy and unsure, he struggled to look someone in the eye or make a shot on the court. Yet after attending 20 sessions as a player and spending more than 30 weeks on staff, he emerged as a natural leader, a passionate speaker, and a mentor to the next generation of PGC athletes. His journey embodies the PGC philosophy: growth through dedication, curiosity, and the pursuit of excellence.

Beyond PGC, Cameron is a scholar, athlete. He earned his undergraduate degree in journalism with a focus on sports from the University of Mississippi and is now pursuing a Master’s in Integrated Marketing Communications. During his college years, he had the opportunity to work alongside esteemed coaches such as Kermit Davis, Chris Beard, and Yolett McPhee-McCuin, gaining insights that enrich the experiences he brings to every camp session.

Parents can feel confident that a session led by Cameron provides more than basketball instruction. Athletes under his guidance learn to Think The Game, deepen their passion for basketball, and build the character and resilience that extend beyond the court. Cameron’s leadership ensures every camper experiences the full PGC culture: one that nurtures skill, fosters confidence, and inspires a lifelong love of the game.
