    PGC BASKETBALL DIRECTOR

Conrad Etchi’s basketball journey is proof that confidence combined with relentless work ethic can overcome a lack of early opportunity. Born and raised in Silver Spring, Maryland, and the youngest of two brothers, Conrad learned the value of proving himself both on and off the court. Competing alongside his older brothers ignited a competitive drive that shaped him into the player, leader, and mentor he is today.

A standout two-sport athlete in high school, Conrad excelled in both football and basketball, but graduated without a single college offer. Undeterred, he redshirted his first year at a Division II program before transferring to a Division III school to earn film and opportunities. His persistence paid off: Conrad eventually transferred back to a higher-level program, where he earned a full-ride scholarship for the final two years of his collegiate career.

After college, Conrad pursued his dream of playing professionally overseas, competing in Australia, Mexico, and with the Dallas Skyline in the TBL. Each stop added perspective, reinforced the value of discipline, and deepened his appreciation for the grind required to succeed at every level of the game.

When his playing career ended, Conrad discovered his true calling, serving the next generation of athletes. Today, he brings passion, perspective, and lived experience into every gym he enters. Conrad instills in players the confidence, resilience, and belief that extend far beyond the court.

Parents can trust that athletes attending a session led by Conrad will not only improve their basketball skills but also develop the mental toughness, self-confidence, and determination necessary to succeed in life. With Conrad Etchi at the helm, campers experience the full PGC philosophy: a culture that builds great players, and even greater people.
