  • Dylan Eppley

    PGC BASKETBALL DIRECTOR

For Dylan Eppley, basketball has always been about far more than wins and losses. It’s a vehicle for teaching resilience, leadership, and the habits that help young people succeed in life.

Dylan is a servant leader who leads by example with positivity, care, and a deep commitment to helping those around him grow. His goal as a coach is simple: leave every environment better than he found it. Much of that mindset was shaped by his biggest role model—his father, who coached and mentored him growing up. From him, Dylan learned to approach life with optimism, care for others, and the belief that no matter the challenge, you can always find a way forward.

Dylan’s love for basketball began at five years old and carried him through a journey filled with both adversity and growth. As a player, he was known for his court vision, basketball IQ, and ability to create opportunities for teammates. His high school career tested his perseverance early when a bone cyst in his heel forced him to miss an entire season after being called up to varsity as a sophomore.

When he returned, he faced another setback—being cut from the varsity team he had previously been promoted to. Even after being cut again as a senior, Dylan refused to give up on his dream. He transferred schools for one final opportunity and made the most of it, earning All-Conference and All-Tournament honors, which led to the chance to continue playing at Caldwell Tech, where he became both a starter and team captain.

For more than 13 years, Dylan has coached players from middle school through varsity, helping young athletes grow both as players and as people.

After being encouraged by former PGC Director Laura Barry to observe a camp, Dylan immediately connected with PGC’s culture of growth, leadership, and basketball IQ. Today, he is passionate about helping players discover that the lessons learned through basketball can shape who they become long after the final buzzer.

Our attitude towards life determines life’s attitude towards us.
