Justin Davidson’s basketball journey is rooted in the small town of Elmira, Oregon, just outside Eugene. While growing up in the shadow of the Oregon Ducks, Justin chose to embrace the underdog spirit of the Oregon State Beavers—a mindset that has defined his approach to life and coaching. Though he didn’t start playing basketball until the fifth grade, Justin quickly fell in love with the game, inspired by Kobe Bryant’s relentless drive and passion.
Justin’s coaching career began in 2007 with a volunteer role at Elmira High School, marking the start of a remarkable journey. Over the years, he climbed the coaching ranks, transitioning from high school to junior college, and later to NCAA Division II, before returning to high school basketball. Justin has coached at every level, including leading the women’s programs at Lane Community College and Western Oregon University, where he earned two NWAC Championships. In 2022, Justin launched his own business, Underrated Hoops, focusing on individual player development and youth programs in Klamath Falls, Oregon. His dedication to growing the game extends to running a youth basketball league, where he shares his passion and expertise with young athletes.
Justin’s connection with PGC began in 2021 as an observing coach. Captivated by the transformative experience PGC offers players and coaches alike, he eagerly embraced greater responsibilities each year, becoming a camp director in 2023. For Justin, PGC represents more than basketball—it’s a platform to shape young athletes into confident leaders on and off the court.
With over 15 years of coaching experience, Justin brings a wealth of knowledge, a servant-leader mindset, and a deep commitment to helping players achieve their potential. Parents can trust that under Justin’s guidance, their child will develop the skills, mindset, and resilience needed to excel in basketball and beyond.
“Nobody hates the good ones. They hate the great ones. Be Great.”

"I loved learned the progressions a d seeing how much you can add in 1 drill and keep adding to it without having a million different drills. I also love having fun little quotes or saying to help kids remember a skill. We will be implementing a lot of those as a coaching staff this coming season. I also loved the energy as positivity from all of the staff."
