Born in New Orleans, LA, Leshon later relocated to Georgia in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. His childhood centered around a deep involvement in sports, particularly basketball from the age of 5, and a concurrent pursuit of excellence in football. This early engagement played a pivotal role in shaping the strong work ethic evident in his present endeavors.
During high school, Leshon expanded his athletic repertoire by taking up track alongside his commitment to varsity basketball. The dedication and skill demonstrated on the track resulted in several college offers for track & field. However, upon graduating from high school, he opted for a shift from active competition to coaching. While pursuing studies at the University of Georgia, Leshon discovered a passion for nurturing the next generation of basketball players. His fulfillment comes from witnessing others strive for and achieve their dreams.
Currently, Leshon serves as a basketball instructor at the University of Georgia while concurrently working towards a Master’s degree, all while coaching high school basketball.
