Dalton’s basketball journey began in the small town of Encampment, Wyoming, where the sport wasn’t just a pastime—it was part of his family legacy. With both parents serving as high school basketball coaches, Dalton grew up on the court, developing a love for the game and a passion for leadership that has defined his life. His success as a high school athlete was nothing short of remarkable: a three-time All-State and All-Conference player, two-time Conference Player of the Year, and Wyoming All-Star Game MVP. But his rise to excellence wasn’t without challenges.
In college, Dalton faced a humbling transition, competing against bigger, faster, and more athletic players. The first months were grueling, but his resilience, relentless work ethic, and deep-rooted Christian values helped him overcome adversity. Through countless early mornings and late nights, he honed his skills, transforming into an elite shooter at the collegiate level while maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA. Dalton’s determination not only elevated his game but shaped him into a role model for the next generation of athletes.
Dalton’s connection to PGC Basketball is deeply personal. As a high school player, he attended a PGC camp directed by Tyler Coston—a week he describes as life-changing. The experience transformed how he approached basketball and life, inspiring him to bring that same impact to young athletes. Since then, Dalton has coached AAU teams like Wyoming Power and Wyoming Elite and worked with high school programs, sharing his passion for the game and his belief in servant leadership.
Dalton will graduate in May with a bachelor’s degree in sports management and kinesiology and plans to pursue a master’s degree or play professional basketball overseas. Whether coaching on the sidelines or mentoring players on the court, Dalton embodies the values of hard work, character, and leadership—qualities every parent dreams of instilling in their child.
To live for some future goal is shallow. It’s the sides of the mountain that sustain life, not the top.
