Mar. 17 | The 3-Point Play
When you see a player use nine moves to get the ball up court, don’t be impressed.
They don’t know (yet).
Good players use…
- One move.
- One burst of speed.
- One change of direction.
Complexity impresses your friends.
Simplicity impresses your coaches.
There’s a difference between listening to understand and preparing to reply.
Listening to understand communicates:
- I see you.
- I hear you.
- I care about what you’re saying.
Which do you do more often? Is it time to shift your focus?
Helpful people don’t ask, “how can I help?” They just help.
Welcome to the 3-Point Play, where you’ll get a quick dose of wisdom to enhance your game and life.
Whether you’re a player, parent, or coach, join to get a:
- basketball tip
- leadership lesson,
- and life principle
…that’s easy to apply to your life.
3-Point Play: On visualization, managing the fire, and endless passion
The process of “seeing” it in your mind’s eye aids the brain in giving the body the commands necessary to make the thing happen during the time of performance.
3-Point Play: On frowns & fist bumps, acting with character, and getting better grades
Do you want to show off what a tough competitor you are? Overcome adversity. Smash through obstacles. Be encouraging when everyone around you has lost hope.
PGC Basketball provides intense, no-nonsense basketball training for players and coaches. Our basketball camps are designed to teach players of all positions to play smart basketball, be coaches on the court, and be leaders in practices, games and in everyday life.
We combine our unique PGC culture with a variety of teaching methods and learning environments to maximize the learning potential of those that attend our sessions. In addition to spending 6-7 hours on the court each day, lessons will be reinforced through classroom sessions and video analysis.
