    BASKETBALL TIP
To apply effective pressure, you must have the energy to make it continuously difficult for the offense.

The more you make them do, the more tired they get. The more tired they get, the more their concentration slips. The more their concentration slips, the better chance you have to take advantage and win the possession.

Therefore, get in great shape so you have the energy necessary to make life difficult for the offense.

    – PGC Founder, Dick DeVenzio

    LEADERSHIP LESSON
“The true mark of a leader is the willingness to stick with a bold course of action — an unconventional business strategy, a unique product development roadmap, a controversial marketing campaign — even as the rest of the world wonders why you’re not marching in step with the status quo.

In other words, real leaders are happy to zig while others zag. They understand that in an era of hyper-competition and non-stop disruption, the only way to stand out from the crowd is to stand for something special.”

    – Bill Taylor

    LIFE PRINCIPLE
“A big secret is that you can bend the world to your will a surprising percentage of the time—most people don’t even try, and just accept that things are the way that they are. People have an enormous capacity to make things happen. A combination of self-doubt, giving up too early, and not pushing hard enough prevents most people from ever reaching anywhere near their potential.

Ask for what you want. You usually won’t get it, and often the rejection will be painful. But when this works, it works surprisingly well. Almost always, the people who say “I am going to keep going until this works, and no matter what the challenges are I’m going to figure them out”, and mean it, go on to succeed. They are persistent long enough to give themselves a chance for luck to go their way.”

    – Sam Altman
