  • Today’s Monday Mindset: Go For It

I’m here at the University of Houston visiting one of our PGC camps and I’ve just had the best time challenging myself.

I didn’t just come to watch. I decided to jump in now that I’m 50, having done this in probably 15, 18 years, competing against the players.

I warmed up and got loosened up and then jumped into the action, handling pressure, beating pressure and just loved seeing the passion of the players and having fun, challenging myself and competing.

At the end of the gym session, decided to play one-on-one against some of the players and further competed and challenged myself.

And then some of them started dunking and they asked me if I could still get up there a little bit. I said, “Well, let me try.”

And so fun to see that I still could, but my main point of this is just going for it.

Just putting yourself out there and doing something that maybe you wouldn’t do. And this summer there’s going to be some things that you can challenge yourself in and just go for it in.

Don’t hold back, don’t watch, jump into the action and go for it.

That’s my challenge, and that’s your Monday Mindset.
