Today’s Monday Mindset: How to Make More Money
Presented by: Mano Watsa, President of PGC Basketball Camps
If you’re like most people, you’d like to have more money, here’s how you can.
Decide in advance.
From the time my kids were really young, anytime we went to a store, before we went out, we discussed what we were gonna buy. Because once you get in the store, suddenly you see all sorts of things that are appealing and you see sales and discounts, and it’s tempting to buy those things.
If you wanna have more money, then save your money.
Most people spend more than they actually earn. It’s scary.
What you need to do is develop the habit of deciding in advance what you’re gonna buy, and then exercising the self-discipline to stick to it.
“But Mano, there might be something that’s too good to pass up on.”
Okay? Allow yourself one item each year that you’ll do that with, but the rest of the time decide in advance and stick to it.
And at the end of the year, you’ll have way more money than you would have had you just gone on impulse and bought what you saw in front of you.
Put that into practice, decide in advance.
That’s your Monday Mindset.
