Stop Judging Yourself

Today’s Monday Mindset: Stop Judging Yourself
Presented by: Mano Watsa, President of PGC Basketball Camps
Stop judging yourself.
Don’t we tend to judge ourselves more than we judge our friends?
In fact, if we judged our friends the way we judge ourselves, we wouldn’t have any friends.
So we need to stop it.
We need to accept ourselves, and we do that by telling ourselves a better story.
When you look at nature, you don’t see a crooked tree and say, oh, that tree should be cut, cut down. It’s crooked. No, we accept trees and nature and flowers and appreciate their beauty for however they look.
But when we look in the mirror, we tend to judge ourselves and we find fault with things that aren’t right about our appearance or our nature or our personality.
Tell yourself a better story.
You were made the way you were and the way you are is beautiful.
You are beautifully and wonderfully made, and if you shift your story and can see the beauty in yourself, instead of judging yourself, you’ll bring a better you to the world each and every day.
So stop your comparisons.
Stop judging yourself.
Accept yourself by beginning to tell yourself a better story.
That’s your Monday Mindset.
