  • Today’s Monday Mindset: How to Reduce Stress

    I was feeling stressed… literally 5 or 10 minutes ago because we’re going away for the weekend and there’s lots I need to get done.

    Including shooting this video and thinking of what I wanted to share and I did a few things to help reduce my stress.

    Here’s what you can do to reduce stress anytime you’re feeling this way too:

    1. Just slow down. Literally stop yourself. “Mano, I can’t slow down, That’s why I’m stressed! I’ve got so much I have to get done!” No, you can!

    Just for 10 seconds, slow down and just look at nature at the sky and just slow yourself down for a moment, take it in.

    If you’re feeling prolonged stress, do it in the morning when you start your day. I like to do it before I go to sleep and just look outside at the stars.

    2. Take a deep breath. Just simply, well go ahead and try it right now. Just take a deep breath. Just by taking a deep breath, you help to reset your nervous system.

    3. When you’re feeling stressed, just pause and smile. Just a simple smile to realise I’m okay and I’m going to get through this.

    You do those three things:

    Smile, take a deep breath, and pause for 10 seconds. And just take in something that takes your focus and your gaze off yourself and your present stress, and that will work wonders to reduce your stress just like it just did for me a few minutes ago.

    So put that into practice.

    That’s my challenge and that’s your Monday Mindset.
