  • Today’s Monday Mindset: NBA Draft Combine Insights

I’m just here at the NBA Draft Combine in Chicago. I was talking with a longtime NBA player about how he got his start here at the Draft Combine…

He said to me, because he’s not the most athletic and he’s not the tallest, wasn’t the best shooter, he got his start here and then had a phenomenal career, prolific career with the Los Angeles Lakers.

And I said, “What did you do differently than everybody else?” And he said:

“I was able to stand down to Jerry West because I did all the little things, the little things that others weren’t willing to do.”

My challenge to you is any time you want to stand out. It’s not the big things. It’s not just what you do, it’s how you do what you do, being willing to do the little things that make all the difference in the world.

So put that into practice, do the little things.

That’s my challenge, and that’s your Monday Mindset.
