  • Today’s Monday Mindset: Never Give Up

My son, Isaac, just got done playing a game here.

I am a proud dad because in the first year with the University of Waterloo, it was the pandemic.

In his second and third year, he had this stress fracture that went undiagnosed and then reoccurred.

And then coming into this season after working so hard, he had an ankle injury that sidelined him for seven weeks, and he was just going to a red shirt this season.

And then coach suited him up last week.

He was so excited just to get a jersey. And then tonight he played his first university a game and got two points for rebounds to assist.

And I say all of that because I just kept reminding him, don’t give up, just stick with it. Keep working hard.

    And he did just that.

And here he is after all of this time tonight, beaming with excitement and pride, getting the rewards from his efforts.

My challenge to you is no matter what it is, just don’t give up. Stick with it. That’s my challenge. And that’s your Monday Mindset.
