  • Today’s Monday Mindset: The Words We all Need to Hear.

Welcome to your Monday Mindset where you discover how to be your best so you can give your best.

When I was in my first year at the University of Waterloo, the head coach of our men’s basketball team said to me, “Mano, I believe you have the potential to be one of the top point guards in Canada one day.” And that absolutely astounded me, as I had gone unrecruited in high school. What he said ended up materializing because of one simple reason, someone believed in me.

Here’s my challenge to you today, speak life into someone every single day. Find someone to uplift, to affirm, to encourage. And when you do so, no matter how small it may seem to you, it may change the trajectory, if not just what they do or what they achieve, but who they become.

No one has ever had somebody who encouraged them too much, who believed in them too much, who uplifted them too much. No, it’s quite the opposite. We have others that can tear us down, that can discourage us, or circumstances that can tear us down and discourage us.

We all need people to speak life into us.

Find somebody today to acknowledge, affirm, and encourage and in doing so, you may change who they become.

    And that’s your Monday Mindset.
