On Quickness, the Leadership Ladder, and Knocking on the Door
Sept. 15 | The 3-Point Play
BASKETBALL TIP
Looking quick is often more a matter of using the defenders’ quickness against them rather than having lightning-quick feet of your own.
A lot of players use too many fakes, or make their fakes too far away from the defender.
Those types of fakes don’t work.
If you can let a defender stay close to you without fear of losing the ball, every slight nod and lean of yours will force a quick reaction on their part that you can take advantage of.
LEADERSHIP LESSON
“We must be silent before we can listen. We must listen before we can learn. We must learn before we can prepare. We must prepare before we can serve. We must serve before we can lead.”
– William Arthur Ward
LIFE PRINCIPLE
“If no one opens, knock on several doors at once.”
– Nick Vujicic
