On coachability, leading yourself, and missed opportunities
April 25 | The 3-Point Play
BASKETBALL TIP
It doesn’t have to be a joy to be coached in order for you to work toward being considered a joy to coach.
In fact, in many ways it may be good for you to have a coach who forces you to make a big effort rather than having someone who is your idea of the perfect coach.
The world, as you can no doubt guess, is hardly full of perfect coaches and bosses and supervisors, so why get so pushed out of shape simply because your coach isn’t exactly what you hoped for?
LEADERSHIP LESSON
“You are in charge of your emotions, your thoughts, your reactions, and your decisions. It’s the law of personal responsibility, because everyone is responsible for leading something, even if that something is just you.”
– Clay Scroggins
LIFE PRINCIPLE
“If an opportunity passed you by, it didn’t really want to stop at your station, if someone let you go, they didn’t really want to stay, if someone else got what you were praying for, this blessing was not written for you to begin with and you will be blessed in another way.”
– Thought Catalog
