My Plans Got Crushed

Today’s Monday Mindset: My Plans Got Crushed
I was flying from Toronto to New York for two days of meetings, and my flight got delayed and eventually canceled due to fog in New York.
I arrived six hours later, and unfortunately missed having the chance to watch NBA Superstar Carmelo Anthony have a private workout with a top NBA trainer. Most of my other meetings got canceled or rescheduled as well.
What do you do when your plans get crushed?
Things happen that are outside of our control. Sure, I was disappointed. You’ll experience disappointment as well, but you choose how long to live in that disappointment.
What’s your bounce back ability? How quickly can you bounce back from things that discourage you or disappoint you?
I’ve worked on my bounce back ability for years. I’ve collapsed timeframes from days down to hours, down to minutes, so I experienced the disappointment for a few minutes and said, “Okay, what’s next?”
And I move on.
I want to challenge you, the next time your plans get crashed, work on your bounce back ability. It’ll transform your approach and how the rest of your day goes if you bounce back faster. Practice your bounce back ability.
That’s my challenge.
That’s your Monday Mindset.
