On being a good host, habitual work, and your willingness to practice
BASKETBALL TIP
When a teammate subs in, treat them like an honored guest.
Give a high five
Say, “glad you’re in, we need you!”
Remind them of any relevant information (time, score, fouls, etc.)
Like a good host, make your teammate feel welcome. They’ll play better & the team will do better.
LEADERSHIP LESSON
“Leadership is more than hard work; it is habitual work. It is worked out every day in the tasks we complete, the ways we approach our work, and the rhythms we nurture in our lives. It hangs on the hooks of the patterns we create, not just the success we may stumble upon.”
– Brad Lomenick
LIFE PRINCIPLE
“Enthusiasm is more important than innate ability, it turns out, because the single more important element in developing an expertise is your willingness to practice.”
– Gretchen Rubin
