    BASKETBALL TIP
Champions become proud of their ability to control themselves; they are proud of their ability to overcome laziness and boredom and drudgery.

Champions also become delighted when they realize that once they confront laziness, boredom, and drudgery, those things aren’t as powerful as they seem.

All those negative forces give way to the athlete who is proud of their self-discipline.

    LEADERSHIP LESSON
“Leaders must get across the why as well as the what. Their people need more than milestones for motivation. They are thirsting for meaning, to understand how their goals relate to the mission.”

    – John Doerr

    LIFE PRINCIPLE
“We are always one choice away. If we want to live without regret, we need to make a mind shift—trading beliefs that limit our potential for ones that help us move toward optimal performance and pursue the success of being fully alive. We must move from a life of obligation to a life of intention.”

    – Erwin Raphael McManus
