    BASKETBALL TIP
As you lie in bed the night before a big game, practice visualizing.

There is actual scientific data indicating that by programming pictures of success, you are more likely to succeed.

The process of “seeing” it in your mind’s eye aids the brain in giving the body the commands necessary to make the thing happen during the time of performance.

Get in the habit of putting pictures of you performing successfully in your mind.

    LEADERSHIP LESSON
“Coaching for performance is about addressing and fixing a specific problem or challenge. It’s putting out the fire or building up the fire or banking the fire. It’s everyday stuff, and it’s important and necessary.

Coaching for development is about turning the focus from the issue to the person dealing with the issue, the person who’s managing the fire. This conversation is more rare and significantly more powerful.”

    ― Michael Bungay Stanier

    LIFE PRINCIPLE
“You may think that you’ve lost your passion, or that you can’t identify it, or that you have so much of it, it threatens to overwhelm you.

    None of these is true.

Fear saps passion. When we conquer our fears, we discover a boundless, bottomless, inexhaustible well of passion.”

    – Steven Pressfield
