On Looking Your Defender in the Eye, Failure to Evolve, and Living Your Life All Over Again
August 03 | The 3-Point Play
BASKETBALL TIP
When you get the ball near the basket, turn toward your defender and look at them.
See what they are going to do. If they are going to jump, let them; then you go up.
And if they want to stand there, let them; then you go up strong.
The important thing to remember is to look them in the eye first and then make your move.
Take the time to look at the defender, freeze them and then go for it. For every shot that gets blocked, you will get ten fouls. The exchange is well worth it.
LEADERSHIP LESSON
“The reason companies lose relevance, go broke, or fade into the sunset is because they continue to grow, but fail to evolve.”
– Keith J. Cunningham
LIFE PRINCIPLE
“The survey consisted of one question: If you had your life to live all over again, what would you do differently?
Three replies emerged as a consensus.
One, risk more.
Two, reflect more.
Three, do more things that live on after you die.”
– Mark Batterson
