On canning excuses, being prepared, and stretching yourself
May 16 | The 3-Point Play
BASKETBALL TIP
Excuses. They just have no place in sports.
It is possible for you to decide right now to can/toss/abjure/jettison all your excuses once and for all.
Why not free yourself to be a total athlete, a performer who evaluates each effort and each result with just one standard: did it get done or didn’t it? Did I achieve the desired result, or didn’t I?
LEADERSHIP LESSON
“One trend we’ve noticed is that the right person to succeed is often the one who has been prepared elsewhere. In other words, the best job you could possibly undertake is a job you never could have undertaken had you not done everything leading up to now.”
― William Vanderbloemen
LIFE PRINCIPLE
“Read books by people whose perspective is different from yours, listen to voices you haven’t heard before, look for narratives that are new to you. In them and with them, you might end up finding more room for yourself.”
– Michelle Obama
