On always following through, poor communication, and overcoming challenges
July 11 | The 3-Point Play
BASKETBALL TIP
What excuse do you have for not following through completely (elbow fully extended, fingers pointing to the floor) every, every, every time you shoot?
Why would you let anything so important be a “sometimes situation?”
You should follow through fully on every shot you ever take, from now until the end of time.
LEADERSHIP LESSON
“All forms of poor communication have one thing in common: They ask the person on the other end of the line to do more work than they should have to.”
– Jonathon Raymond
LIFE PRINCIPLE
“We are often faced with seemingly insurmountable challenges in our lives. In many cases, it is these challenges that define us. To overcome them, we may not need to try harder, reacting and charging ahead; we may need to step back, rest, recover, regenerate, and respond to the challenge strategically.
Sleeping better, eating well, and getting exercise on a daily basis can help all of us improve our performance and health, which is key to overcoming our big life challenges. But it might take repeated attempts using new strategies, tactics, and skills before we succeed.”
– Greg Wells
