Today’s Monday Mindset: How to Sleep Better
When you go to bed, one of the best things that you can do to help you sleep better, to put you in a relaxed state, to help increase your melatonin levels so you sleep deeper, is to simply breathe deeply.
You can do this by doing belly breathing.
When you lie down, turn off the lights, then take 5 to 10 slow deep breaths where you push your belly out as you breathe in and in as you breathe out.
You can do the 4, 7, 8, 4 counts on the breath in through your nose. Hold for 7 and then exhale through your mouth for 8 seconds.
If you do that 5 to 10 times, you will position yourself to sleep better and to sleep deeper, so that you can be refreshed and ready for the next day.
So take those belly breaths before you go to sleep. That’s my challenge and that’s your Monday Mindset.
