  • Today’s Monday Mindset: Drop Your Sarcasm

A few weeks ago, somebody made a sarcastic comment to me, and at first I laughed.

But later on it kind of hurt a bit because I was left wondering, is it actually true?

Do they actually feel that way, or were they just making a comment?

And that’s the problem with sarcasm.

People never actually know if there’s a hint of truth behind that comment or that dig.

    So here’s my recommendation.

    Drop your sarcasm.

A mentor of mine called sarcasm, the lowest form of humor.

See if you can find better ways to get a laugh without it being at somebody else’s expense…

…because most sarcasm is somebody else’s expense.

And if you’re a leader of others, a coach, a parent, a teacher, you definitely want to avoid sarcasm with those who are under your leadership.

    Drop your sarcasm.

That’s my challenge, and that’s your Monday Mindset.
