  • Today’s Monday Mindset: Extend Grace

This single word is so absent in our world today, yet so desperately needed.

    Grace.

This Easter weekend, I was reminded of the words of Jesus when hanging on the cross. He said, “Father, forgive them.”

    Unbelievable.

He received hatred and he responded with love. He experienced judgement, and he returned forgiveness.

When I’m challenged by others or receive judgement or criticism, it’s so easy to respond in kind with judgement and criticism back, but these words of Jesus remind me to extend grace to others, not giving them what they deserve, but better than what they deserve.

To give love or to practice acceptance and just let it go.

My challenge to you is when you experience a difficult person this week or a difficult circumstance, see if you can extend grace.

Don’t give them what they deserve.

Give them better than what they deserve.

Put that into practice. That’s my challenge, and that’s your Monday Mindset.
