Today’s Monday Mindset: For Students Everywhere…And Adults
What are you going to do when you’re done school? That’s the question most young people ask.
My kids are finishing university and they get asked that question all the time… Stop asking that question of others.
And if you’re a student and you get asked, What are you going to do with your life? or What do you want your career to be? — Change the conversation because it doesn’t really matter that much what you do. What really matters is who you become.
The real question is: Who do you want to be? What do you want your character and your life to be about?
If you spend time, as much time, as you think about what you want to do, figuring out who you want to be and look to others — what are their character traits? Who do you want to be like, follow and emulate?
You figure out who, and you’ll get the do and doing in your career right as well.
So focus on who you want to be in your life.
Get that right and everything else will fall into place.
Put that into practice. That’s my challenge and that’s your Monday Mindset.
