Today’s Monday Mindset: How to Get out of a Rut
We all get in ruts once in a while where we’re frustrated, discouraged, or just disappointed and we can’t seem to shake it.
Here’s what you can do the next time you’re in a rut.
If it’s a small rut, it might be simple enough just to go on a walk, get out of your regular environment. But if it’s a bigger rut, you may need to change your environment entirely.
Get somewhere for a day, somewhere different. It’s why I love summer camps for kids so much where they get re-energized and reinvigorated after a five day camp. It’s why I’ve dedicated my life to our PGC camps, where we help players get out of their ruts and find their love and passion for the game again, and re-energize and get reinvigorated.
It’s why I go to conferences to help find a new level and break out of my ruts that I might be in that I don’t even know I’m in.
So my challenge to you is the next time you’re in a rut, when you become aware of it, change your environment, and in doing so, you’ll change your state, you’ll change how you feel and you’ll get reinvigorated. Put that into practice.
That’s my challenge, and that’s your Monday Mindset.
