  • Today’s Monday Mindset: I Got Hurt

I jumped into some one-on-one games with some of the players, had a great time playing against them, but I made a big mistake. I didn’t warm up before playing.

    I knew I shouldn’t have done it…

I’m smarter than that, but I jumped in and ended up straining my quad, walking with a little bit of a limb. Saw the athletic trainer who said, “Yeah, you’re going to need to take some time off to rehab and get this better.”

And man, oh man, I was so frustrated with myself, disappointed, I knew better…

That may happen to you sometimes where you do something you know you should have done differently or shouldn’t have done.

My challenge to you is rather than just hanging onto it and getting even more frustrated with yourself, which doesn’t help the situation at all, just let it go. Stop beating yourself up. That’s what I’ve done.

I’ve let it go. I’m putting all my energy into now just getting healthy again. You do the same with whatever you need to focus on next.

That’s my challenge, and that’s your Monday Mindset.
