Today’s Monday Mindset: The Wooden Leg Olympian
He won six Olympic medals in a single day on a wooden leg. After losing his left leg in a train accident, George Eyser refused to stay off the mat.
He strapped on a heavy, rigid piece of wood and went to work. No carbon fiber springs, no modern hydraulics, just some old timber and sheer force of will.
In 1904 on the world’s biggest stage, George didn’t just show up. He dominated, vaulting, climbing, and flipping his way to six metals, including three golds all before the sun went down.
Most people let a bad morning derail their entire day. George conquered the world on a single leg.
Stop waiting for perfect conditions. Whatever excuses you’re holding onto this week, drop them, adapt, and find a way.
That’s your Monday Mindset.
