Today’s Monday Mindset: Show Interest
Last night, I was at an event in our community that I was asked to participate in, and I was seated at a table with people who I didn’t know.
The young lady sitting next to me started asking me some questions about where I was from, how long I had lived in the community, what I did for work, about our family.
And it was so nice.
I then asked her questions about her background and how long she had lived in the community and what she did for work and things like that.
When you take the time to show interest in others, it shows you care, and she showed me that she cared.
She was interested in learning about my world, and everyone has an interesting story. So my challenge to you is a simple one: to take the time to get to know others by showing interest, by being curious about their background.
Others will actually like you more and enjoy being around you more when you show personal interest and you’ll learn things about others and about your community and about this world just by taking an interest in others.
So put that into practice, show interest. That’s my challenge. And that’s your Monday Mindset.
