    BASKETBALL TIP
“Coach doesn’t let me do my thing.”

    Maybe.

But if your thing includes failing to hit the open player, moving slowly, dribbling unnecessarily, doing things without purpose and throwing up off balance prayers…

    Re-evaluate “your thing”.

Because like you, coaches want to win and they play players they trust to help them do just that.

    LEADERSHIP LESSON
“Tripping over the truth is an insight that packs an emotional Wallop.

It’s when you have a sudden realization. One that you didn’t see coming, and one that you know is usually right — you have tripped over the truth.

It is a defining moment that in an instant can change the way you see the world.

Sometimes when you know you have the solution to something, you can not just tell someone, you have to let them trip over the truth themselves.”

    – Chip & Dan Heath (The Power of Moments)

    LIFE PRINCIPLE
“The brick walls are there for a reason. The brick walls are not there to keep us out. The brick walls are there to give us a chance to show how badly we want something. Because the brick walls are there to stop the people who don’t want it badly enough. They’re there to stop the other people.”

    – Randy Pausch (The Last Lecture)

Nostril time – any time you have the ball near the basket, take the ball straight up into the nostrils of the player guarding you (even if they are a lot taller than you).
