On throwing good passes, having a clear vision, and being gracious and generous
August 15 | The 3-Point Play
BASKETBALL TIP
Simple geometry should make it obvious that bounce passes and lob passes take longer to arrive than straight passes.
If there is no one between you and the player you’re about to pass to, don’t throw anything other than a crisp, straight pass to their chest.
The shortest distance between two points is a straight line, right? Lobs and bounces are used to throw over or under people; otherwise, don’t use them.
LEADERSHIP LESSON
“Goals without routines are wishes; routines without goals are aimless. The most successful business leaders have a clear vision and the disciplines (routines) to make it a reality.”
– Verne Harnish
LIFE PRINCIPLE
“Gratitude fused with generosity expands the blessing. A practice of gratitude that fuels generosity can change other people’s lives in an impactful way. Breathe in gratitude, breathe out generosity. Repeat. A vital, virtuous cycle.”
– Cy Wakeman
