Today’s Monday Mindset: 3 Ways to Deal with Stress
A friend of mine reached out to me last week because he had been experiencing a lot of stress and anxiety on his job, and he wanted some advice on how to deal with it.
Here are three things you can do to help deal with any stress or anxiety you may feel.
The first is a deep breath.
You’re always one long, deep breath away from coming back to being present. And if you’re experiencing anxiety or stress, just practice that long, slow, deep breath. It’ll help calm you down and bring you back to the moment.
The second is to get outside in nature.
Nature has an amazing way of just calming us and letting go of things that are going on around us. So if you’re dealing with stress or anxiety, get outside. Go for a walk.
The third and final one is to know that stress is your body’s way of rising to the occasion, to give you the energy that you need to give you whatever you need to be able to meet your circumstances head on.
So instead of thinking of stress as a bad thing, think of it as your body’s way of rising to the occasion.
Those are three simple things that you can put into practice and do or think to help you better deal with stress that comes your way.
That’s my challenge and that’s your Monday Mindset.
