  • Today’s Monday Mindset: Do More

I’m here in my home city of Waterloo and as you can see, there is a lot going on all around me. I’m at a place called the Neighborhood Hub. It was started by a friend of mine, Jeremy Horne, 18 years ago to help refugee families who had just come to Canada, to the Waterloo region, and help provide them the support they need. They run programs for kids, the youth, and single moms. Amazing programs.

As I was listening to Jeremy talk, as I was meeting the kids, we ended up scholarshipping a few kids to PGC camps this summer. But as I was watching all that was going on, I thought, man, we’ve got to do more.

I brought my wife Kate here and we’re taking it in – seeing how we can give back to our community more, how we can support the good work already going on.

After feeling inspired by the great work taking place here, we’re committed to doing more with our time, with our resources, and our money.

My challenge to you today is a simple one. What are you doing in your community to make a difference?

My friend Jeremy has made this his everything. It’s his full time work. And while it’s not our full time work, there’s more we can do. I encourage you to find an organization near you, to find something in your community you can get involved with, something you can do more in to help make a difference in the lives of others.

    Do more.

    That’s your Monday Mindset.
