Extend Grace

Today’s Monday Mindset: Extend Grace
The easiest way to destroy any relationship is through judgment, condemnation, or criticism towards the other person.
Kate and I are celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary tomorrow, and one of the things that I attribute our successful relationship to is the word grace.
Grace can be defined as undeserved favor. It’s not giving the person what they deserve but what they don’t deserve.
And at times when I’ve done something that could have angered Kate, she returned forgiveness and kindness, and I’ve attempted to do the same with her.
Regardless of the type of relationship you have, whether it’s a team, whether it’s a sibling, a parent, or a significant other, choose to extend grace.
If you choose to extend grace, it’s extending forgiveness and kindness to the other person, even when they don’t deserve it, even when it seems completely unmerited.
When you do that instead of judgment and criticism, you will ensure that your relationship can sustain all sorts of challenges and difficulties.
So put into practice extending grace to another person and watch what happens.
You’ll be building a long-term successful relationship.
Extend grace.
That’s my challenge and that’s your Monday Mindset.
